SHOE UPDATE: Boston Freedom ISO

It’s March. So for anyone in the running industry in Boston, that means that we’re getting into the #allbostonmarathonallthetime zone (and we love it!) It also signals an exciting time of year for sneaker fanatics, as all the limited-edition Boston shoes get released.

The first release of this highly anticipated group of kicks is the Boston Freedom ISO by Saucony. Saucony took its highly successful brand new release – the Freedom ISO – and gave it some Boston flair. By the way, the Freedom is awesome. It has a full-length EVERUN midsole, giving you more energy return and liveliness underfoot than any other shoe on the market, as well as an ISOFIT upper that wraps the foot like a glove. So the Freedom is a fantastic running shoe. But that’s not what we really love about the Boston edition. This year’s special release pays homage to our city’s rich history dating back to the American Revolution. The Freedom Trail is everywhere on this shoe:

There are some hints of cobblestone on the outsole:

There is no American city that can rival our history, and the design of this shoe plays off the incredible story of how this great nation of ours was born. The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile path that passes 16 landmarks significant to the American Revolution. Even though we live here, we still find it amazing to run through downtown Boston and think about the fact that inside buildings like Faneuil Hall or the Old State House, our Founding Fathers planted the seeds of revolution more than two centuries ago.

Plus, this is just a really good looking shoe! Wait until you see it in person – you’ll fall in love. But you don’t have to wait – you can PREORDER your pair now so you’ll have them in time for Marathon Weekend! [CLICK TO PREORDER NOW]
