For weather as unpredictable as Boston’s, the importance of a runner’s outer layer can’t be understated. With the New Balance Performance Merino Hybrid Jacket, you can be prepared for a quick change of seasons (such as the spring-like weather we’ve had this year). With two layers of fabric working together to maintain warmth and dryness, the Hybrid Jacket provides comfort in a variety of conditions.
A layer of merino wool sits close to the body and lines the hood to lock in warmth while also wicking away moisture. While the wool works with your body, a light layer of nylon works against the weather. The woven weather-resistant overlay covers the hood, front body, and top of arms.
By adding weather resistance only in vital spots, the Hybrid Jacket cuts weight and maintains flexibility and full range of motion. Easily push back the wool-only layer of the sleeves on milder days, or use the thumbholes to keep sleeves secure around your hands in cool weather.
For more intense conditions, a bungee cord closes the hood around your face. Reflective strips accent the fabric transition on the arms as well as the top of the back. Two roomy front zip pockets (also lined with reflective piping) provide plenty of space to stash keys or fuel on the run.
