WINTER RUNNING 101 part IV: It’s only cold if you’re standing still…

Luckily enough, we haven’t had to really think about true heavy duty winter weight running apparel. But it’s almost the end of November, and time to definitely start thinking about making sure you’re properly outfitted for what awaits us.

For those of us training for Boston, logging your miles on the treadmill is not a very attractive option. Aside from the monotony of running for hours upon hours indoors, marathoners like to have a chance to log some miles on the actual course and prepare their bodies for whatever the weather can throw at us.

So as we get into the holiday season, think about some of these pieces for the runner in your life (or for yourself!) Pick up some of these essentials on Black Friday – if you spend $150 or more in stores, you will receive a $40 gift card that you can use for more winter running goodies!

And if you’re not quite sure how to dress or what pieces to pair together, join us for Winter Running Clinics at our store locations in the month of December! We are working to get some events on the calendar – check our store events calendar frequently to stay in the loop!

And as always, feel free to ask any one of the staff members in our stores how they brave a winter training season in New England…we can tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly!
